Q1) If Aunt Hannah and Bubbe also went with Jacob to the peoples house would they be safe?
ReplyDeleteA1) If Aunt Hannah and Bubbe went with Jacob to the peoples house I think that they wouldn't be safe because they might attract attention to the house endangering them and the owners.
Q2) Would Jacob think the same way about how the Jewish people should be treated if he was German?
A2) I think that if Jacob was German he would have thought different because I don't think that Jacob would think it would be fair to treat the Jewish people like that.
Q3) If they didn't know Stasek, and Jacob couldn't get to the peoples house would they survive.
A3) If they didn't know Stasek I don't think that Jacob would survive for very long because I think that the Nazi soldiers would either arrest them or kill them eventually.

Q1 awnser: I think that if aunt hannah and bubbe went with jacob thhen they would probably pu the family at risk because, 3 random people show after the nazis come.

A I think that the nazis will come in and take them. I think this will happen in weeks after he leaves.

A2)He would probaly be out of the country because he did not want to get arrested or killed so he would go out of the country.
A1.) Jacob's family are probably fighting for food because they're poor and might get taken away if they go outside to the store.

(ANSWER) I think Jacobs grandmother is hiding something from him and I think that it has something to do with maybe Jacobs grandmother knows that she will not see him any more I also think she is not telling him because she knows he will cry and not leave and maybe she thinks its better off if he does not know.

I think that Jacobs grandmother gets assassinated but that probably doesn't happen.

A2.) Maybe because he eats too much and he is called yankel.

These are my answers:
- I think that Jacob will find a friend that is his age and is Jewish. I think that the friend is also in Jacobs situation but doesn't know that he is hiding.
- I think that at one point Jacob will have to move with his family because the man that lives in the house dies.
- I don't think so. I think that Jacob will just have to hide for the rest of his life, but he never gets caught by the Nazi's.

ReplyDeleteA 1) I beleive that Jacobs parents are jewish because if jacob is jewish than usully the odds are that the parents are jewish so In my opinion I think the parents are jewish.

A 2) In my opinion I think Poland wanted no jews because they wanted to be all the same and they all wanted to be the same culture. But if this was actually happening in the real world I think it should be a free country and anyone can be allowed to live in the country and any kind of culture should be allowed to live where ever they want to live.

ReplyDeleteA1.) I think that Aunt Hannah and Bubbe will be taken to a camp. There, they will be forced to work until death. It's pretty sad because Jacob would never be able to see them again.

A2.) I think that Jacob will be able to survive the war. He will probably start hiding instead of staying as Alex's nephew. There could be a couple good places to hide like a bathroom cupboard.
A1.) I my opinion I think that Aunt Hannah and Bubbe will probably not live as happily as they used to with Jacob around and they are probably not getting enough food to live.

These are my 2 questions and answers
A1) I don't think that the Nazis will find Jacob. I believe that Alex will be able to hide him and keep him healthy until the war is over. Although if Jacob is found, The Roslans and Jacob would all be killed.
DeleteA2) I agree. I also think that Jacob will in he end be safe and be put back with his family although to Jacob his family is the Roslans after the war. It seems that they did more for him than any family he ever had. Jacob may be back with his family although it won't feel right to him.

You had capitalization errors, and your second question wasn't said in a way that there could be multiple answers, and you didn't add periods to your answers, you also had punctuation error like instead of hes it's he's, but over all good job.
DeleteQ1 answer: Yes, I believe Jacob will survive. I think this because he is with a good family, that seems to care about him very much. I think the Roslans will do whatever it takes to keep Jacob safe because they have already put their lives on the line by just taking him in. Jacob also seems like a smart boy who knows how to stay out of trouble.
DeleteQ2 answer: Yes, I do think it was a good idea to send Jacob to live with the Roslans. Living in the Ghetto was getting more dangerous by the day. Patrolling Nazis got tougher and with out the Roslans to take Jacob in he probably wouldn't have been alive for much longer.
A few things I would suggest for next time would be:
-Add more detail to your questions/ answers
-Make sure you add capitals where they are needed like "I" in answer 1, and "Jacob" needs to be capitalized because its a name.
-"Hannah" also needs to be capitalized
- In Q2 you could add where Jacob is being sent.

ReplyDeleteA. I think if they're discovered by the Nazis, they'll probably be killed. But, I also think Alex could maybe get his way out of that situation because he always had a plan.

A. I think it was a good idea to send Jacob to the Rosland family. I believe this because after Jacob got there, Alex was doing all he possibly could to keep him and his family safe. Alex even sold his home to get the money for an operation to save Jacob from an illness, even though Jacob was Jewish and he was Christian.
Q1: Do you think that the Roslans' will give up on jacob and send him away after they realize how much trouble his presence will cause them because of his religion?
ReplyDeleteA1: No, I believe that the Roslans are good people. I think they will try their very best to keep Jacob safe as long as they can. I think this because from what I have read, I get the impression that they truly care about making a difference in this boys life. The Roslans, to me, don't seem like people that will give up in the face of adversity. Simply put, they're not willing to give up just because thing got a little harder.
Q2: What will happen to jacob after the war is over?
A2: I think after the war is over Jacob will stay with the Roslans (but he will not stay forever). I believe that Jacob will stay because he know the Roslans care about him very much. They took on parenting roles in his life when he was left with nobody and he appreciates that immensely. Also, the Roslans have grown to love Jacob as their own son. They protected him, no matter what happened, putting their own lives at risk since the day they took him in. Their is a connection between the two from different religions. But the Roslans don't care about what religion Jacob is, to them he is a person all the same.
Q1: Weren't there any Polish people who helped Jewish people?
ReplyDeleteA1: In my opinion, it's no because, the book says that ALL the Polish feared for their own lives to help Jewish people.
Q1:Why did Jacob hate being Jewish?
A2: Jacob didn't want to be Jewish because, all the Jewish people were treated unfairly and he was always hungry.

ReplyDeleteA1: In my opinion, I believe that Aunt Mela will not report Jacob to the soldiers because even though Jacob caused a lot of trouble for them, he is a child and most of the things that happened wasn't even his fault.

A2: In my opinion, I believe that the Nazi soldiers might find Jacob because he cannot hide forever. Someday if they randomly break into the house, they will find Jacob . The Roslan family is taking a big risk by hiding Jacob .

ReplyDeleteA1: In my opinion, I don't think that Sholom and David will be captured by the Nazis because they are only little boys and they have no use to be used as slaves.
Q2: Do you think Jacob's father is still alive?
A2: In my opinion, I think he's still alive, but is dying by the second, he's beat up from the beatings of the Nazis, starving because they wont let him eat until he is finished his work.
A1 - I agree. I believe that they won't be captured. I do think that they will die. Being young boys that aren't 100% healthy, they would probably contract a deadly disease. To add to that, they wouldn't be able to get proper medicine because they have to go to a hospital and risk the people reporting them as Jewish. For more proof, the family taking care of them would be very poor because of the inflation that happens during the war so everything would be extremely expensive.
DeleteA2 - I don't think that he is alive. Being a man, he would have already been taken to the camp and worked to death.
