    1. Overall it was really good. I think that you had a grammar error near the end of your conflict section. Also, are you sure that the story takes place in 1941 because on the back of the book it says 1939. Finally, I think that you should add a little more detail to your protagonist and antagonist sections because you don't have much information describing them.

    2. @ granger08 I really liked your post but you said "Jacob vs Nazi" and I think you should have done Jacob vs nazi's because you were saying Jacob vs one nazi other than that I really liked yours great job keep up the good work :)

    3. @granger08,

You have done a wonderful job, but here are a few comments for suggestions on things you can improve on.

For conflict you have a run n sentence. Split the sentences up because it is resulting in some grammar errors.

For setting, you had said that the novel had took place in 1941, although on the back of the novel it had said it took place in 1939.

For antagonist, you need to make your information into full sentences. You can also add some more detail.

For protagonist, all you need to do is add some more detail.

      Great job!

    4. Hi you did a very good job but some things that you can add is add more info to protagonist you could describe more about Jacob and the main thing you need to add is add more info. But over all you did a very good job keep up the great work!

    5. Revised
Conflict-The conflict is person vs. society or Jacob vs. the Nazis. They are trying to catch him and either kill him or send him to a concentration camp and he is trying to survive.

Setting-On the back of the book it says 1939 but it says two years later in 1941 then the story really starts and it takes place in Warsaw, Poland.

Protagonist-Jacob Gutgeld is the protagonist, he is a young boy around the age of eight who is kind, and respectful,is rich, and has curly black hair, and brown eyes.

Antagonist-The Nazis are the Antagonist, they are mean, unfair, evil, horrible and a large group of people who will kill anyone in their way.

      Delete
  2. Conflict- The conflict of the story is person vs society because
Jacob is jewish and hitler does not like jewish people. If he gets they catch him he will die.

    Setting-The setting is in poland,Warsaw 1941.

protagonist-Jacob is 8 years old and is kind and peaceful.

Antagonist-the Nazis are horrible, scary and mean.

    1. I think you did a great job but I think that you could explain the nazis and Jacob a little better. I also believe that you could possibly add more to the conflict, who will catch him, why? Also the date is a little off because at the back of the book it says 1939

      Delete
    2. For the protagonist and antagonist you should provide more detail on their description.
And for the conflict you could provide more details for people that have not read the book.
      But over all good job!

      Delete
    3. Good job on this there are just a few things that you should fix. I see that you have a few capitalization errors. Also, I think that you should add more detail to your protagonist and antagonist sections. Finally, are you sure that it takes place in 1941 because on the back of the book it says 1939.

      Delete
    4. Conflict- You could add more details and add some examples at why you think it's person vs society but otherwise it's great.

Setting- You forgot to add a capital to "Poland."

Protagonist- Add more details on how Jacob looks like what he is and where he lives.

Antagonist- Describe what Nazi soldiers do to Jewish people and why they're scary.

      Overall, good job!!!

    5. (REVISED)
Conflict- Person vs Society because it is Jacob vs the nazis or Hitler and he has to fight to survival with other jewish people.

Setting- It takes place in Warsaw,Poland in 1941 because it said in the book it goes two years forward.

Protagonist- Jacob is a 8 year old boy who has curly black hair and brown eyes and is hiding from the Nazis.

Antagonist- The Nazis are the bad guys and put jjewish people in consontration camps and sometimes just shoot them on sight.

  3. CONFLICT: Person vs Person
Jacob and the rest of the Jewish people have to fight for survival. Once the Nazis invaded Poland the Jewish people were forced into ghettos and now fight for their lives. Everyday people die and are arrested.

SETTING: Time - 1939, During World War 2
    Place - Warsaw, Poland

    PROTAGONIST: Jacob
Jacob is an eight year Jewish boy that lives in Warsaw, Poland. Once he's pushed into the ghetto he becomes needy and helpless. After living with Aunt Hannah and Bubbe in the ghetto Jacob is given to a Polish family to hide from the Nazis. Now Jacob must do what he can to survive.

    ANTAGONIST: Nazis
The Nazis are an army that is trying to kill all of the Jewish people. They are under the control of Hitler and will destroy anything that gets in their way.

    3. I'm changing my setting answer.

SETTING: Time - 1939 to 1945, During WWII
      Place: Warsaw, Poland

    4. why did you change it to 1945?

      Delete
    5. Person vs. Person was a typo I now changed it to Person vs. Society.
I changed it to 1945 because the story goes on to 1945 in the end.

  4. Conflict: I thinsell them in. because this book is based on a true story it isn't very relevent the last time it was copy righted was in 1992. And takes place in poland inside of alex's house. I would say Alex is the hero because he's hiding a jew in his home and thats a very big risk so he's pretty much like putting his whole family in risk. The villans I would say is the people killing the jews and the people trying to rat the jews outk the conflict in "Jacobs Rescue" is person vs society I think this because it's Jacob vs all the police men and the people trying to

    1. Good job on your post, but I noticed that there were some spelling errors. Also, you didn't put the other sections: Setting, Protagonist, Antagonist. You had only out the conflict, so remember next time to add that in and carefully look at the instructions. There was also some capital errors I saw. After you end a sentence you put a capital, and when you say "Jew" you put a capital. There were also some grammatical errors. For example - I think them in?
Overall you did a good job.

      Delete
    2. Good job on the conflict but you only explained the conflict. You should have the setting protagonist and antagonist. And jacob isn't vs police he is vs the Nazis. And you have some spelling mistakes like when you said out you accidentally put a k at the end.

      Delete
  5. Conflict-I think the conflict of this story is Person vs society. Person as jacob and society as nazi and Hitler. I find this because the nazis killed the jewish for no reason and forced them into the ghettos.

    Setting-Time, 1930s to 1940s, Warsaw Poland.

Protaginist-Jacob. Jacob is a jewish boy who is 8 years old. He was forced into the ghetto with some of his family. After sometime hiding Aunt Hannah finds him a place to live outside of the ghetto. this happened because Hannah didnt want jacob cought and killed.

Antagonist-Nazis. I think the nazis are the antagonist because they killed many jewish for no reason at all. there only excuse is "the world should be pure". Witch is is a total lie.

    1. For setting you could have had it in one sentence instead of just time ..., place... You also for the antagonist and protagonist you could have given a description instead of listing events. But overall good job.

      Delete
    2. You could've added a bit more information for the person vs society. Maybe you could write a full sentence for the setting and time. You spelled "which" wrong on your antagonist and I like your quote what the nazis said. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!

    3. Conflict is great, I liked how you had your own opinion.

For setting, you can put your information into full sentences.

The rest have great details, wonderful job!

  6. Conflict- I think it's person vs society. Person as Jacob and society as the Nazis. I think this because the Nazis are looking for Jacob to kill him.

Setting- I think around 1930s in Warsaw, Poland.

Protagonist- Jacob is a Jewish boy who is eight and lives in Warsaw, Poland. Jacob and Aunt Hannah were forced to live in the ghetto. Later Hannah sends Jacob to a Polish family to live with because it was getting too dangerous for Jacob.

Antagonist- Nazis are an army that kills Jewish people for no good reason.

    1. Nice job "mike". But I think you could of explained the nazis a little better. And explained the person vs society better to. But good job on explaining Jacob and how he left the ghetto. Another thing I think you might of done is to try to get a more exact year.

      Delete
    2. @mike Tyson I think your antagonist needs a little more detail like the nazis are a horrible army and is very unfair. The other section that you have to improve on which is person vs society and it is good but why do the nazis want to kill jacob?

      Delete
  7. Conflict- I think the conflict of this story is person vs society and the society are the nazies I think its person vs society because the nazies are trying to get jacob because he is a jew and they want to kil him.

setting- The setting of this book is 1939 during world war two
    place- warsaw poland

protagonist- I think the protagonist in this book is jacob because he is the main person in the book and he is a eight year old jewish boy that lives in warsaw poland.

Antagonist- I think the antagonist in the book is the nazies because they are mean and they are trying to kill anyone that is a jew and the nazies are trying to kill jacob because he is a jew. Also, if the family gets caught hiding jacob than the whole family will get killed.

  8. 1.) CONFLICT- (Person vs. Society)
    - The Nazi's are trying to eliminate the Jews. Some people are brained washed but others aren't. Jacob and his family have to survive from them.

    2.) SETTING-
    - This happened in the year 1941.

    3.) PROTAGONIST-
    - Jacob is a Jewish, eight year old boy. He lives in Warsaw, Poland in a ghetto with his grandmother and aunt Hannah. His father left him with his uncle, and his mother died while giving birth to Jacob's brother. Jacob is later sent through a secret tunnel to go live with a family of Germans because, it is very dangerous for a young boy like Jacob to live there.

    4.) ANTAGONIST-
    - The Nazi's was an army that are Germans. They go around from house to house and kill Jewish people just randomly for no reason at all! :( Very sad!!!

    3. Hi Pooh bear you did a very good job but maybe next time you could add more to your sentences and add more information for example for settings you said that this happened in this year 1941. Maybe next time you should put more info to it and you should put more information why the nazi soldiers are so mean and what they want to do to Jacob.

    4. Really good job, lots of information is given for your protagonist and antagonist sections. One thing that you should check is your capitalization because it seems you didn't capitalize everything that needed to be capitalized. Also, are you sure that it took place in 1941 because on the back of the book it said 1939. Finally I think that you should have included the country that the book took place in.

  9. @ Winnie the poo I think you should have listed your stuff instead Of making it in all one paragraph

  10. 1.) Conflict- Person vs. society
I think that the conflict is person first society because the novel is showing you that the Nazis are trying to get rid of Jewish people, like Jacob. They can most likely kill Jewish people.

    2.) Setting-
The time it took place was the 1941.
Place- Warsaw, Poland in World War two.

Protagonist- Jacob is an eight year old Jewish boy. He lives in a ghetto in Warsaw, Poland. He was then sent to live with the Roslan's, (Polish family), to hide from the Nazi's in order to survive.

Antagonist- Nazi's are a German army who kill Jewish people or send them in slavery for no good absolute reason! :(

  11. 1)Conflict- Person vs Society
The person is Jacob and the society as the Nazi soilders. I say this becuase the Nazi soilders were killing the Jewish people and Jacob is part of that.

    2)Setting
This story takes place in Warsaw, Poland.
The time was 1942 also, WWII

Protagonist- The Protagonist of the story is Jacob. I think this becuase of everything he has been through and what he has done for the Roslan's

Antagonist- The Antagonist is the Nazi Soilders. I think this because of all the horrible things that they did to Jewish people when the Jewish people did absolutly nothing to them.

    1. Great post, but it could use a bit more detail. A few things I would suggest would be:
-For conflict you could start with saying something like "Person vs. society is the conflict" and it will make a little more sense.
-Protagonist needs more detail as to what he has been through.
-Antagonist, what sort of things did the Nazis do to the Jewish people?
-For time instead of saying "also WWII" you could say "during WWII" (just a suggestion)
-You need a period after "WWII" and "Roslan's"
Other than that I think you did a really good job :)

    2. Conflict - Person vs Society
The conflict in this book is person vs society. The reason why is because Jacob is constantly hiding away from the Nazis. He is trying to avoid being persecuted against.

      Setting
This book takes place in Warsaw, Poland around the time where World War II took place.

      Protagonist - Jacob
Jacob is eight year old Jewish boy who has brown curly hair. He has two brothers named David and Sholom. He lost his mother while she was giving birth to his brother and his birth father is out hiding somewhere. To keep his true identity safe, he was given a new name which is Genyek. He is focused on survival and cares about his brothers.

      Antagonist
The Antagonist of this book would be the Nazis. In the book, they persecute and harm the Jewish people in absolutely cruel ways. An example of this would be when a Nazi soldier carelessly kills Yurek.

Another conflict is Person vs self because Jacob had many difficulties getting used to the Roslan family and he always used to have something or the other bad happen to him like he had to leave his family, his brother died, Yurek died, etc.

  18. CONFLICT: Person vs. society.
In this story I believe the conflict is person vs. society. Jacob is an innocent eight year old boy, he is Jewish, like many others and for this reason he is forced into a ghetto. German soldiers, Nazis are on patrol, shooting any Jewish man, woman or child who dares to try and escape. It's Jacob vs. the Nazis and the odds are stacked (as high as a skyscraper) against him

    SETTING:
Time: The story took place in the year 1939, during World War 2.
Place: This story took place in a small town in Warsaw, Poland.

Protagonist: The protagonist of the novel would (to me) definitely be Jacob. I think this because he has done nothing wrong. Jacob is an innocent Jewish boy who wants a better life for himself, his two brothers, and all the other Jewish people who are being treated unjust. He has the courage to try and escape from the ghetto, seeking a better life not full of guns, Nazi soldiers, and war.

Antagonist: I would for sure say that the Germans as a society would be the antagonist. However, this is not entirely fair because not all Germans were bad. Some tried to hide the Jewish people. So, more specifically I would say the Nazi Germans. I think that the Nazi Germans are the antagonists because they killed innocent Jewish people simply because of their religion. Which was completely unfair as well as inhuman. They shot and killed on site anyone who was hiding a Jewish person or assisting them in escape.

-You had a punctuation error. For the last sentence of CONFLICT, you need to take out a period. So it would go like this -> It's Jacob vs (No period) the Nazis and the odds are stacked (as high as a skyscraper) against him.

-In my opinion, for the Antagonist, I think that the Nazi didn't kill the Jewish people because of their religion. (Well I think, I'm not sure)

The person is Jacob and the society as the Nazi soilders. I say this becuase the Nazi soilders were killing the Jewish people and Jacob is part of that.

    2)Setting
This story takes place in Warsaw, Poland.
The time was 1942, during WWII.

Protagonist- The Protagonist of the story is Jacob. I think this becuase of everything he has been through and what he has done for the Roslan's.

Antagonist- The Antagonist is the Nazi Soilders. I think this because of all the horrible things that they did to Jewish people when the Jewish people did absolutly nothing to them like how the Nazi soilders forced the Jewish people to work or they will get killed.

  24. ~REVISED~

    CONFLICT: Person vs. society.
In this story I believe the conflict is person vs society.
